2009-10: Saw limited action during the indoor and outdoor seasons. Set top indoor marks of 8.78 in the 60m hurdles and 6-2.75 in the high jump at Akron in the season opener. Competed in three events of the decathlon at the MAC Outdoor Championships, posting a third-place finish in the shot put (41-9.25) and fourth place in the 100m (11.39).
2008-09: Named Most Improved for the indoor season. Finished fourth in the heptathlon with a career best 4,925 points at the MAC Indoor Championships, earning an IC4A qualifying mark. Set top decathlon score of 6,574 points at the Liberty Collegiate Invite. Finished seventh in the javelin (177-0) at the MAC Outdoor Championships.
2007-08: Did not compete during the indoor or outdoor track seasons.
2006-07: Selected as men’s track Top Newcomer. Finished fifth in the decathlon (6,235 points) at the MAC Outdoor Championships. Placed seventh in the heptathlon (4,458 points) at the MAC Indoor Championships.
High School: Earned nine letters and captained one season at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School for coach Chip Button. Finished fifth in the pentathlon at the New York State Championships and sixth in the state federation championships. Earned Suburban Council All-Star nods in the pentathlon and high jump in 2005 and 2006. Also played goalie for the Spartans’ soccer team.
Personal: Born March 12, 1988. Son of Ron and Diane Cameron. Has one sister (Larene) and one brother (Luke). Hobbies include juggling. Favorite movie is The Patriot. Favorite TV show is Prison Break. Majoring in civil engineering.
