2012-13: Did not compete during the 2012-13seasons.
2011-12: Selected UB’s Female Athlete ofthe Year and team MVP after a spectacular outdoor season. Advancedto the NCAA National Outdoor Championships where she posted aschool record 2:04.65 in the 800m to finish 14th overall and earnsecond-team All-America honors. Ran the anchor leg of UB’srecord-setting 4x400m relay (3:40.62) to a third-place finish atthe MAC Outdoor Track Championships. Named UB’s Most Improvedduring the indoor season after finishing second in the 800m(2:09.46) and anchoring the 4x400m relay to a second-place finish(3:40.85) at the MAC Indoor Championships. Set indoor records inthe 500m (1:14.21), 600m (1:31.15) and 800m (2:07.06). Finished theseason competing in the Jamaica Olympic Trials and the NACAC U-23Championships.
2010-11: Named outdoor track Top Newcomer.Earned second-team All-MAC honors at the outdoor championship meetas she finished second in the 800m in 2:10.80. Also part ofUB’s record-setting 4x400m relay, running the anchor leg to a3:42.98 finish at the Cornell Upstate Challenge. Posted top indoortimes in the 400m (58.06) at the Akron Invitational and 800m(2:23.99) at the Doug Raymond Invitational.
Previous College: Attended Bethune-CookmanUniversity for the 2009-10 season. Competed in the hepatahlon andanchored the Wildcats’ 4x400m relay to a fifth-place finishat the 2010 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships.
High School: Lettered at Wilson Magnet HighSchool for coach Christopher Taylor. Won two city catholic titlesin the 400-meters and one in the 800-meters and high jump. Set foursectional records with the Wildcats. Finished sixth in the 800m atthe junior olympics for the Elite Flyers.
Personal: Born January 3, 1991. Daughter ofKaren Martinez. Has two brothers (Kelvin Willis, Karl Willis) andone sister (Teshawn Dubois). Favorite foods are meat loaf and bakedmacaroni and cheese. Lists competing internationally for Jamaica asher greatest athletic experience. Nicknamed Bionic. Majoring insocial sciences interdisciplinary with a minor in education.
