BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo track and field/cross country program announced the addition of Britton Mann to the team's coaching staff ahead of the 2026-2027 academic year. Mann joins the Bulls from Buffalo State University, where he served as an Assistant Coach for Track and Field/Cross Country for three seasons. The Buffalo native will oversee the Bulls' historic throwing program.
Under Mann's guidance, the Bengals' throwing program grew from two throwers to over 10 throwers. The athletes saw tremendous development, improving their marks, earning all-conference honors and securing spots in NCAA postseason meets.
"Coach Mann brings in strong experience and will add great value to our program," said Program Director and Head Coach, Vicki Mitchell. "I know our student-athletes will enjoy working with him and I am excited to see him carry on the tradition of our throws program at UB."
Mann graduated from High Point University, where he set four school records in throwing events, still holding a spot in the program's all-time top 10 in the shot put, discus throw, weight throw and javelin throw. At Big South Championships his senior year, Mann placed fifth in the javelin throw, sixth in the shot put, and eighth in both the discus and hammer throw
A graduate of Clarence High School, Mann holds school records in the indoor and outdoor shot put. He placed fifth at New York State Championships as a senior and was also a two-time all-conference football player as a defensive end and tight end.
