
Six Bulls Named to Outdoor Track & Field All-MAC Teams

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced its 2026 Outdoor Track & Field all-conference teams earlier this week, honoring six University at Buffalo athletes. Stella Kapp, Michael Parks, Brian Murphy, Aidan Norris, Isa van Puffelen and Nicalis Williams earned All-MAC honors.
Parks was named All-MAC First Team for taking gold in the men's 110-meter hurdles, earning first place in the finals with a time of 13.78 seconds. The time was nearly fourth-tenths of a second faster than the second-place finisher (14.23). The senior posted the fastest 110-meter hurdle time at conference championships in program history, also within a tenth of a second shy of his program record (13.72). The performance marked the fourth time Parks broke the 13.90-second barrier in the event, a feat never achieved before in program history.
Kapp earned All-MAC Second Team honors, taking silver in the women's high jump with a mark of 1.74 meters. The sophomore was just shy of her personal best performance (1.76m), which ranks fifth in UB outdoor history. Kapp also placed sixth in the javelin throw with a personal best throw of 40.88 meters, ranking seventh in program history.
Norris finished second in the men's 800-meter finals at conference championships to bring home All-MAC Second Team honors. Norris' time of 1:49.16 was a new personal best, rising to third in UB outdoor history. The sophomore also finished first in the preliminary round of the event with a time of 1:49.79. Norris has now earned four medals at MAC Championships through his two years at UB.
van Puffelen placed second in the women's heptathlon to be named All-MAC Second Team. The sophomore posted a personal best score of 5,161 to rank third in program history. van Puffelen finished first in the 800-meter (2:20.03), second in the 200-meter (25.07) and second in the high jump (1.67m) en route to her podium finish. The sophomore's high jump mark of 1.67 meters also joined the program's all-time outdoor record book to rank 10th.
Williams earned All-MAC Second Team honors for his silver-medal finish in the men's triple jump. The sophomore posted a mark of 14.65 meters to earn the second MAC medal of his career, also taking third at the indoor conference championships with a distance of 14.90 meters. Williams was one of three Bulls on the podium, with freshman Mitch Diamond earning fifth (14.37m) and sophomore Micah Blair taking sixth (13.85m).
Murphy was the final Buffalo athlete to earn an All-MAC Second Team selection, finishing fourth in the men's pole vault with a mark of 4.72 meters. The senior also finished fourth in the pole vault at MAC Indoor Championships, posting a mark of 4.90 meters.

Parks and Kapp are set to participate at the NCAA East First Rounds in Lexington, Kentucky, competing for their chance to qualify for NCAA Outdoor Championships. Parks is scheduled to compete in the 110-meter hurdles on Wednesday, May 27th, at 6 p.m. Kapp is slated to participate in the women's high jump on Saturday, May 30th, set for 2 p.m.
