2012-13: Was crowned MAC Champion in the 60mdash at the Indoor MAC Championships with a time of 6.82seconds...Earned a fifth place finish in the 200m dash in 21.87 atthe MAC Indoor Championships...set the school record in the 60mdash at the Cornell Upstate Challenge in a time of 6.76seconds...set the school record in the 100m dash at the Wake ForestOpen in 10.37 seconds...his season-best 200m dash time of 21.30 wasrecorded at the Wake Forest Open...he finished 10th at the MACOutdoor Championships in the 200m dash.
2011-12: Earned men’s track Top Newcomeraward for indoor and outdoor seasons. Won Mid-American Conferencechampionship and earned first-team All-MAC honors as he claimed the200m in 21.33 (after setting a season-best 21.29 in thepreliminaries) at the MAC Outdoor Championships. Also finishedsecond in the 100m (10.57) and was part of the second-place 4x100mrelay (41.16) at the MAC meet. Set school record in the outdoor100m in 10.48 at the Penn Relays. Placed sixth in the 200m (21.78)at the MAC Indoor Championships. Had top indoor 200m mark of 21.67at Penn State Sykes-Sabock Challenge Cup. Set UB’s fastest60m time of the season of 6.80 in his first meet at the CornellUpstate Challenge.
Previous College: Attended Long IslandUniversity. Part of LIU’s 4x100-meter champion team at the2010 Northeast Conference Championships. Also attended SuffolkCommunity College.
High School: Earned three letters and captainedtwo seasons at Newfield High School for coach Michael Soto. NamedAll-American and All-Long Island… Earned most valuableplayer honors at Newfield. Finished second in the young men’s60-meters at the 2009 Milrose Games. State indoor champion in the55-meters in 2009. Finished second in the 200-meters at the 2009state outdoor championships.
Personal: Born April 11, 1991. Son of Adria andLogan Lewis. Has one brother (Justin). Favorite foods are seafoodand fried vegetables. Favorite athletes are U.S. Olympic sprintersTyson Gay and Jeff Demps. Also recruited by Virginia andNortheastern. Lists selling fish on a street corner as thestrangest job he’s ever held.
