2008-09: Named Most Improved for theoutdoor seasons. Placed third in the weight throw (63-0) and 12thin the shot put (49-9.25) at the MAC Indoor Championships. Finishedfourth in the hammer throw (180-1) at the MAC OutdoorChampionships. Earned a spot in the NCAA East Regionals finishing18th in the hammer throw (179-6). Set the UB record in the hammerthrow at 191-7 at the Cornell Outdoor Invitational.
2007-08: Named Top Newcomer for the indoortrack team. Set the indoor weight throw school record (60-1.25) tofinish third at the MAC Championships. Placed third in the discus(163-5) and fourth in the hammer throw (180-8) at the MAC OutdoorChampionships.
2006-07: Did not compete during the indooror outdoor seasons.
High School: Earned nine letters andcaptained one season at Newark Valley High School for coach KeithWilliams. Set school records in the shot put and discus. Wonsectional shot put title and finished fourth at the statefederation meet. Also lettered in football and basketball.
Personal: Born August 16, 1988. Son ofVictor and Suzanne Gac. Enjoys playing guitar and lists classicrock and Led Zeppelin among his favorites. Favorite movieis October Sky. Majoring in aerospaceengineering.
