2010-11: Raced in three cross country events. Finished 44th at the MAC Cross Country Championships in 26:11.0 for 8K. Set top 5.2 mile cross country mark of 27:42 at Penn State National Invitational. Did not compete during the indoor or outdoor track seasons.
High School: Earned eight letters and captained one season at Lehman Alternative Community School for coach Rich Bernstein. Set school record in the 3,200-meters. Led team to two sectional titles.
Personal: Born April 3, 1992. Son of Mary Balfour. Has three sisters (Britta, Alexandra, Violet). Hobbies include the violin and photography. Favorite food is peaches. Enjoys jazz and funk music and lists The Cat Empire as his favorite band. Majoring in biomedical sciences with a career goal of becoming a dentist.
