High School: Earned six letters at Longwood High School for coach Joe Reilly. Finished second in the 400m hurdles at the 2011 New York State Outdoor Championships. Part of Longwood’s 2011 state indoor champion 4x400 relay. Earned All-American honors in the 1,600m sprint medley relay for the Longwood Track Club finishing third at the 2011 New Balance Outdoor Nationals. Also ran cross country for the Lions.
Personal: Born April 27, 1993. Son of Joseph and Beth Payton. Has two brothers (Spencer, Shane) and one sister (Brianna). Favorite movies include Jurassic Park and Get Him to the Greek. Favorite TV shows include Family Guy and The Amazing World of Gumball. Favorite athlete is 2008 Olympic bronze medal hurdler Bershawn Jackson. Majroing in exercise science.
