2008-09: Helped Bulls to a second-placefinish in the 4x400m relay in a school record 3:13.43 at the MACIndoor Championships handling the third leg of the relay. Part ofUB’s record-setting Sprint Medley Relay (3:26.63). Finished13th in the 400m (50.82) at the MAC Outdoor Championships.
2007-08: Part of UB’s indoor andoutdoor relays. Helped Bulls to a third-place finish in the 4x100mrelay (41.25) at the MAC Outdoor Championships. Placed ninth in the60m (7.10) and 11th in the 200m (22.94) at the MAC IndoorChampionships. Finished ninth in the 400m (49.37) at MAC outdoormeet.
High School: Earned five letters andcaptained two seasons for coach Walter Larkin Jr. at Edison Tech.State champion in the indoor 300m (35.39). Finished second in the200m at the 2006 state championships. Won four city catholic andfour sectional titles in 2006 and 2007. Earned All-GreaterRochester honors in track and was a two-time all-city selection asa running back with the Inventors.
Personal: Born October 27, 1989. Son ofLeroy Giles and Deborah Austin. Has three sisters (Alyssa Tyson,Deborah Austin, Macelva Giles) and two brothers (Cameron Tyson,Matt Giles). Favorite athlete is Brett Favre. Favorite food ismacaroni and cheese. Favorite movie is Scarface.Major is undecided.
