BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo women's basketball head coach Kristen Sharkey has announced the signing of Meg Lucas to the roster for the 2025-26 season.
Lucas, a 6'1 forward, comes to Buffalo from Melbourne, Australia. She is coming off a great summer in which she averaged 21 points and 16 rebounds per game while shooting nearly 60% from beyond the arc at the Nike TOC and Run for the Roses. Lucas is currently averaging 13 points and nine rebounds per game for the Whittlesea Pacers who compete in division one of the Big V league. She also played for the NBL's Keilor Thunder.
"Meg is my tough Aussie who is going to show up every day, full force and ready to go," said Sharkey. "She's somebody who this program is going to be able to count on to do the dirty work. She's going to run the floor, rebound, defend and get in passing lanes. She can stretch the floor offensively and has a great first step making her a mismatch for opposing defenses."
