BUFFALO, NY - University at Buffalo women's basketball head coach Kristen Sharkey announced the addition of Holy Cross transfer Asia Wilson to the roster for the 2026-27 season. Wilson will have three years of eligibility remaining.
The Rochester, NY native comes to Buffalo after one season at Holy Cross where she appeared in 27 games while helping lead the Crusaders to 23 wins, a Patriot League Championship and NCAA Tournament berth.
Before college, she was a five-year standout and 1,000-point scorer at Bishop Kearney High School where she helped lead the Kings to two state championships, including earning Tournament MVP honors in 2024. As a junior, she led her team in scoring at 21.6 points per game and was named the 2024 Private Parochial Player of the Year and a First Team All-Star. She also competed for the I-90 and Team Northeast Basketball Club Teams
"Asia is a fearless bucket-getter with elite shiftiness and the ability to create offense in any moment," said Sharkey. "The bigger the stage, the brighter she shines and that competitive fire is something you can't teach. What excites me just as much is her ability to lock people down defensively. She impacts winning on both ends of the floor and Buffalo fans are going to love the toughness and swagger she brings to our program."
