BUFFALO, NY - University at Buffalo women's basketball head coach Kristen Sharkey announced the addition of junior college transfer Oyinkansola Soetan to the roster for the 2026-27 season. Soetan will have three years of eligibility remaining.
Soetan, a 6'4" forward from Mushin Lagos, comes to Buffalo from Salt Lake Community College where she appeared in 32 games, earning 28 starts, as a freshman. She averaged 6.3 points and 5.2 rebounds in 18.0 minutes per game. She led the team and ranked third in the conference in field goal percentage (.509) and offensive rebounds (86) while also ranking fifth in the league in total rebounds (166), eight in rebounds per game and 13th in blocked shots (12) and defensive rebounds (80).
"SoSo brings elite length and athleticism to our team," said Sharkey. "She is a ferocious rebounder, runs the floor, has great hands and is hungry to get better. She is even better human being that will be an incredible addition to our locker room and Buffalo community. I am thrilled Soso chose us."
