7/8/2024 2:25:00 PM | Women's Basketball
BUFFALO, NY – Fresh off a trip to the Mid-American Conference Tournament championship game and an appearance in the postseason WNIT, the University at Buffalo women's basketball program now flips the page to the 2024-25 campaign as head coach Becky Burke announced the team's non-conference schedule on Monday. Bulls fans will have plenty of chances to get to see the team early on as the schedule features seven games at Alumni Arena in November and December.
"Our non-conference schedule has great balance and a good combination of home games while also getting challenged on the road," said Burke. "We are looking forward to the opportunity to get back on the court with our new team and I think this schedule will allow us to get better and grow like we need to before MAC play. I hope to see everyone in Alumni Arena supporting these incredible young ladies."
For the fourth straight season, the Bulls will begin their season with an exhibition game against Daemen University on Monday, October 28. Buffalo will open the regular season with a pair of games as they welcome Troy to Alumni Arena on Monday, November 4 in the first game of the MAC-SBC Challenge before hosting Buffalo State on Friday, November 8.
Buffalo embarks on their first road contest of the season on Wednesday, November 13 as they travel to Maryland Eastern Shore before returning home to host Cedarville on Monday, November 18.
The Bulls will then take on the "Big 4 swing" of their schedule as they travel across town to take on Canisius on Friday, November 22 before traveling up north for a clash with the Niagara Purple Eagles on Tuesday, November 26.
Buffalo will then open a four-game homestand beginning on Saturday, November 30 as they conclude Big 4 action against St. Bonaventure. They will then open play in the month of December against Binghamton on December 4. After a 10-day break, the Bulls will play host to Stony Brook on Saturday, December 14 before closing out the homestand against Vermont on Thursday, December 19.
The Bulls will close out the month at Le Moyne on Saturday, December 28. UB will then have one more non-conference game on Saturday, February 8 at a to-be-determined opponent in game two of the MAC-SBC Challenge.
The MAC portion of the Bulls schedule will be released at a later date.
