BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo graduate student guard Gabby McDuffie was named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team, as announced by the organization on Tuesday.
To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
The 2026 Academic All-District Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
McDuffie, currently pursuing a master's degree in education studies, earns Academic All-District honors for the first time in her career. She was a consistent presence for the Bulls, appearing in 29 games this season and earning seven starts. Playing in her final game in front of family at Alumni Arena on Senior Day, she scored a UB career-high 18 points, including a perfect 9-of-9 at the free throw line. She has recorded over 1,400 points, 700 rebounds and 250 assists in her career.
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Academic All-America honorees will be announced in April.
