Bulls Host Cornell on Sunday

BUFFALO, NY – After a lengthy four-game road trip, the University at Buffalo women's soccer team (3-1-1) returns to the friendly confines of UB Stadium to host the Cornell Big Red on Sunday at 1pm.
The game will be streamed on YouTube with Jack Kreuzer announcing.
It will be the 11th all-time meeting between Buffalo and Cornell with the Bulls owning a narrow 4-3-3 advantage. UB defeated the Big Red 2-0 at Berman Field in 2018.
The Bulls extended their unbeaten streak to four games last week as they played to a scoreless draw at Canisius before defeating Niagara 2-0 on Sunday. Sophomore Katie Krohn had a spectacular performance, recording both goals in the win.
Krohn leads the Bulls with three goals and an assist over the opening five games of play. Hermann Trophy watchlist selection Leah Wengender has two goals while Arianna Zumpano has also recorded a goal. Freshman Lexie Thompson has led the Bulls between the pipes, recording a 3-1-0 overall record with nine saves, a .750 save percentage and a .75 goals against average.
Cornell enters Sunday's contest with a 2-0-1 overall record after defeating Syracuse 1-0 on Sunday. It has been a balanced scoring attack as five different Big Red players have recorded a goal. Sophomore Natalie Medugno leads Cornell between the pipes, compiling a 2-0-1 overall record with four saves, a .667 save percentage and 0.67 goals against average on the year.
Next up, the Bulls close out non-conference play with a contest at UConn on Saturday, September 16 at 7pm.
