BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's soccer team (4-4-4, 1-2-2 MAC) fell to Ohio 1-0 on Senior Day at Broadview Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Bulls were aggressive early as Stephanie Tator found space and fired a shot in the opening minute and a few minutes later, Maya Galko got into the action with a shot on target that was saved by Ayla Rammel. Buffalo had another scoring chance in the 12^th minute as Laiken Kiser played a ball-through to Eva Poissant who one-timed a shot from the middle of the box, but it sailed high and out of play.

Ohio started to create chances midway through the half with a pair of shots on target, but Lexie Thompson made a pair of saves and the game remained scoreless at the half.

The Bobcats came out of the locker room in attack mode as Jaimason Brooker broke free up the left hand side and drilled a shot, but Thompson charged out for a sliding save to thwart the attack.

Ohio continued to press with a pair of shots that sailed high, and another by Brooker that was saved by Thompson. The visitors then broke through in the 86^th minute as they took a corner kick and played a good ball into the box that the UB backline was unable to clear away, and Meaghan Cochrane made them pay as she drilled a shot into the back of the net to give Ohio a 1-0 lead and that would be enough as the Bulls were unable to convert on a pair of shot attempts in the final minutes.

The teams tied with eight shot attempts each, but the difference was a 6-2 advantage in shots on goal for the Bobcats. Buffalo maintained a 4-2 edge in corner kick opportunities. Thompson made five saves on the day while Rammel made two stops for Ohio.

Up next, Buffalo will travel to Kalamazoo for a clash with the Broncos on Sunday, October 11 at 1pm.
