Bulls Announce Addition of Chryssi Gouzelou

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo women's basketball head coach Becky Burke announced the signing of Chryssi Gouzelou to a National Letter of Intent. She will join the Bulls for the 2023-24 season.
Gouzelou, a 6-0 guard/forward from Athens, Greece, adds to UB's international presence as she comes to Buffalo with solid playing experience on the international stage. The youngest Greek player to play in the Euroleague, Gouzelou played the 2022-23 season for Olympiacos Piraeus, who won the A1 regular season championship with a 21-1 overall record. Gouzelou saw action in six games. Prior to that she competed for Ilioupolis in the A2, where they finished in second place with a 15-3 record in Group 1.
"Chryssi is extremely versatile both offensively and defensively," said Burke. "She's got a very high basketball IQ and is wise beyond her years both on and off the court. She will add to the tremendous international flare on this team and has a ton of invaluable international playing experience which I expect to translate well to the MAC. I'm excited to get her to the United States and watch her experience life both on and off the court here at Buffalo."
