
Bulls Open Homestand Against Miami (OH) on Saturday

BUFFALO, NY โ The University at Buffalo women's basketball team opens a two-game homestand on Saturday, February 19 as they host Miami (OH) on Saturday February 19 at 1pm. It is Alumni Day and Hall of Fame Weekend at Alumni Arena, featuring a doubleheader with the UB men, who host Western Michigan at 4pm.
The game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Paul Peck (play-by-play) and Will Regan (color) announcing and can be heard on the radio on ESPN 1520 AM or on the Varsity Network with Matt Mattia on the call.
This is the 47th overall meeting between Buffalo and Miami (OH), with the Bulls owning the 26-20 series edge. The Bulls have won the last 13 meetings with the RedHawks, most recently an 88-83 win at Millett Hall on New Years Day.
Buffalo is 17-8 overall and 11-4 in league play after bouncing back with a big 67-62 win at Ball State on Wednesday night. Junior guard Dyaisha Fair turned in another stellar performance as she eclipsed the 30-point mark for the second time in three games, with a game-high 31 points to go with nine rebounds and two steals. Freshman Georgia Woolley also scored in double figures with 10 points and Summer Hemphill pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds.
Fair leads the Bulls and ranks fifth in the nation in scoring at 23.3 points per game. Hemphill is averaging just under a double-double with 13.8 points and 9.6 rebounds per game while Woolley has scored in double figures in 19 of the last 20 games and is averaging 13.8 points per game, the best amongst all rookies in the league. Buffalo is distributing the basketball at an excellent clip, averaging 15.1 assists per game and a 1.1 assist-to-turnover ratio, both ranking in the top 55 nationally while also ranking 47th with a +3.4 turnover margin. That leads to a potent offense which ranks 26th in the nation in scoring (75.0 ppg). The Bulls are ranked 77th in the latest NET rankings. They are also ranked 24th in the College Insider Mid-Major Top 25 poll.
Miami (OH) enters Saturday's contest with an 8-16 overall record and 4-11 league mark after falling 70-61 at Eastern Michigan on Wednesday. The RedHawks are led offensively by Peyton Scott who is averaging 19.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. Ivy Wolf (11.1 ppg, 3.2 rpg) and Edyn Battle (10.5 ppg, 2.2 rpg) are also scoring in double figures. Scott currently ranks fourth in the MAC in scoring (19.3) and field goal percentage (46.3%), seventh in assists per game (3.9) and ninth in steals per game (1.7).ย Over her last six games, Wolf is averaging 13.8 points, while shooting 38.4% (28-73) from the floor and 38.7% (12-31) from behind the arc.
