BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's soccer team (9-1-1, 3-0-1 MAC) continues Mid-American Conference play this week with a game at Miami (OH) on Thursday before returning home to host Eastern Michigan on Sunday afternoon at UB Stadium on Senior Day.

On Thursday, Buffalo and Miami (OH) will meet for the 27th time with the RedHawks owning a 16-8-2 series edge. The Bulls have won five of the past six meetings between the two teams, most recently a 2-1 win at Bobby Kramig Field last season.
On Sunday, it will be the 28th meeting between Buffalo and Eastern Michigan with the Bulls owning a narrow 11-9-7 advantage. The Bulls defeated the Eagles 2-1 in Ypsilanti a year ago.
Buffalo is coming off a solid week in which they picked up a program-record seventh straight shutout victory with a 1-0 win at Toledo on Thursday before playing to a 1-1 draw with Western Michigan in blustery conditions on Sunday afternoon. UB is on an eight-game unbeaten streak and their 9-1-1 overall record is the best start to a season since 1999.
Offensively, Sophomores Arianna Zumpano and Jasmine Guerber lead the Bulls with six goals each. Junior Leah Wengender and freshman Katie Krohn have scored three goals while Annie Judasz has netted a pair of goals. The Bulls lead the MAC in total points (79), total assists (33), assists per game (3.0), shots on goal per game (7.45), shutout percentage (.636) and goals against average (.455) while ranking second in total goals (23) and scoring offense (2.09). Zumpano and Guerber rank third in the league in total goals (6) while Guerber is the MAC-leader in game-winning goals (4) and ranks third in total points (14), points per game (1.27) and goals per game (0.55). Zumpano ranks third in shots on goal per game (1.45) and goals per game (0.55) and fifth in points per game (1.18).
Defensively, fifth year goalkeeper Emily Kelly leads the conference in shoutouts (6), goals against average (0.460) and save percentage (.861) while freshman Ellie Simmons ranks third in total assists (5) and assists per game (0.45).
Miami (OH) enters Thursday's match with a 6-3-2 overall record and a 2-1-1 league mark after defeating Akron 2-1 on Sunday. The RedHawks are led offensively by sophomore midfielder Makenna Morrison who has recorded five goals while Madeline Schlecht has scored three goals. Junior midfielder Camber Hayes has recorded a team-best six assists. Senior Izzie Vaccari leads Miami (OH) between the pipes, compiling a 6-3-2 overall record with 37 saves, an .804 save percentage and a 0.82 goals against average over 11 games.
Eastern Michigan is 2-6-3 overall and 1-2-1 in league play after falling to Ohio 3-2 on Sunday. Sophomore forward Maddie O'Farrell leads the Eagles with four goals and three assists while Meagan Lukowski has recorded three goals and two assists. In net, Eastern Michigan is led by junior Rebecca Przybylo who has made 47 saves and owns a 0.691 save percentage and a 2.20 goals against average in 10 starts.
Following weekend play, the Bulls will remain home on Thursday, October 13 for a showdown under the lights against Northern Illinois.
