BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's basketball team announced their 2020-21 schedule on Friday afternoon. Due to changes surrounding Covid-19 this year's schedule will feature five non-conference matchups and a 20-game Mid-American Conference slate.
"We are always excited to begin our season," said head coach Felisha Legette-Jack. "We are thrilled to get some quality competition given the craziness of the offseason. We think our five non-conference games will be a great early test to prepare us for what is always a grueling MAC schedule. We will be young once again but we will be battle tested headed into conference play. I am certain our Buffalo community will get behind us in any way possible and push us forward."
Subject to approval by the NYDOH, Buffalo will open with an exhibition contest against Gannon on Nov. 25. UB will then begin the regular season when they welcome Niagara to Alumni Arena on Nov. 29. Following the opener the Bulls will travel to Richmond to take on VCU on Dec. 3 before returning back to Buffalo for a clash against Canisius at the Koessler Center on Dec. 6. Buffalo will then travel to West Lafayette, Indiana to take on Big Ten opponent Purdue in a midweek clash at the Mackey Center on Dec. 9. UB will conclude the non-conference part of the schedule against Big 4 foe St. Bonaventure at Alumni Arena on Dec. 19.
