Defending MAC Champions Announce 2019-20 Schedule

BUFFALO, NY – The defending conference champion University at Buffalo women's basketball team announced their 2019-20 schedule on Wednesday afternoon in conjunction with the Mid-American Conference.
"A new year, but the same feeling," said head coach Felisha Legette-Jack. "I am so excited to embark on this new year with our women's basketball team. Our non-conference schedule will challenge us and our hope is that it will prepare us for the grueling MAC schedule. We have a lot of new faces on our team and we are pumped up knowing that our UB fans will get behind our young team and be the foundation we need to propel us to new and exciting heights. Let's Go Buffalo!"
Buffalo will begin the regular season on Nov. 5 against Central Connecticut State at Alumni Arena. Following the opener, the Bulls will travel to Big 4 rival Niagara on Nov. 9.
UB will play a pair of home games beginning on Nov. 12 as the Bulls host the second Big 4 opponent of the season, Canisius, while they will remain at Alumni Arena on Nov. 15 for a contest against Columbia.
Buffalo will then travel to the West Coast for a pair of games in the Golden State as they take on San Jose State on Nov. 21 before traveling to Stanford to face the Cardinal on Nov. 24.
UB will continue their road trip with a pair of games in Philadelphia as they take on Drexel on Nov. 30 and face off against American on Dec. 1. Both games are a part of the St. Joseph's Hawk Classic.
Buffalo will conclude the non-conference part of their schedule with a pair of home games beginning on Dec. 17 as UB hosts Dayton, followed by a contest against Dartmouth on Dec. 29.
The Bulls will open league play on January 4 at Miami (OH) and will remain on the road for a midweek contest at Toledo on Jan. 8. After they return from Toledo they will host Ohio in their conference home opener on January 10 in a rematch of the 2019 MAC Championship game. The Bulls will remain home to face Bowling Green on Jan. 15 and Eastern Michigan on Jan. 19.
Buffalo will then hit the road for a pair of road contests at Ball State (1/22) and at Kent State (1/25) before coming back to Western New York to face Central Michigan on Jan. 29.
February will begin with a contest at Northern Illinois and then the Bulls will have a week off, returning home to face Toledo on Feb. 8. UB will then travel to Western Michigan on Feb. 12 before returning to Alumni Arena for home games against Ball State (Feb. 15) and Akron (Feb. 19).
Following that homestand, the Bulls will travel to Bowling Green on Feb. 22 and then will host Miami (OH) on Feb. 26 before concluding the month at Ohio in a Leap Year special on February 29.
This year's schedule features two regular season games in March starting with a road trip to Akron on Mar. 4 before UB closes out the regular season with Senior Day on Mar. 7 against Kent State.
The 2019 Mid-American Conference Tournament will be held at the newly named Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse Mar. 11-14 with first round games taking place on campus sites beginning on March 9. CBS Sports Network will host the MAC Women's Basketball Tournament Championship Game on Saturday, March 14th.
The season will begin with an exhibition against Mercyhurst on Nov. 1 at 7pm.
Season tickets are on sale now for $175 which will get you access to all men's and women's basketball games this season. Current season ticket holders have until Sep. 12 to renew their tickets. Single-game tickets will go on sale at a later date.
