She is a three-time all-league and two-time all-section honoree. She consistently ranked in the top of Section I in total goals while leading the Sailors to a co-league championship and a sectional quarterfinals appearance, the furthest run in team history. Johnsen also played for the New York Soccer Club where she helped lead the squad to a Penn Fusion Girls Winter Showcase and SuperCopa+ championship. She was also called up twice for the U17 Danish National Team. Off the pitch she was a member of the high honor roll.
