Fall 2010: Went 3-2 in singles and 5-2 in doubles play. Earned second seed of the C singles flight at the Farnsworth/Princeton Invitational, with a pair of wins. Advanced to the second round of the ITA Regionals.
2009-10: Earned All-MAC Second Team honors for second consecutive season. Tied for second on the team with 17 singles wins (3-2 MAC). Was 11-9 at second singles. Paired with Kirill Kolomyts to form UB’s top doubles tandem as they went 4-0 in MAC play. Won clinching point in victory over Robert Morris. Scored a first-round win at the ITA Regionals. Swept his three singles opponents in the season-opening St. Bonaventure Invitational.
2008-09: Earned All-MAC Second Team honors. Finished with a 17-14 singles record and 17-8 doubles mark, playing at the number one spot for both. Paired with Kirill Kolomyts for a 15-6 doubles mark, including an 11-3 dual meet record. Went 2-1 in singles and doubles play at season-opening St. Bonaventure Invitational. Competed at ITA Regionals going 1-1 in singles and doubles. Advanced to singles consolation finals of Cornell Wicked Invitational.
2007-08: Tied for second on the team with 15 singles wins at first and second singles during the spring. Advanced to the finals of the Cornell Fall Invitational, falling to UB teammate Nikesh Singh Panthlia in the championship match.
Personal: Born September 28, 1988. Son of Marcelo Oliveira and Marcia B.G. Mazzetto. Has one sister (Rajaela). A fan of suspense books and movies. Favorite TV show is Lost. Favorite foods include meat, pasta and black beans. Lists Brazilian tennis star Gustavo Kuerten as his greatest athletic influence and the most impressive person that he’s met. Majoring in industrial engineering.
