BUFFALO, NY - University at Buffalo men's tennis head coach Lee Nickell announced the signing of Miko Lapalme to the roster for the 2026-27 season.
The Montreal, Quebec native comes to Buffalo after one season at NC State where he helped lead the Wolfpack to a second-round appearance at the NCAA Tournament. Highly recruited out of high school, Lapalme is a six-time Canadian National Champion, most recently winning the u18 Indoor Nationals last year. He has also won two ITF singles titles and six ITF titles in doubles.
"Miko is an incredible addition both athletically and academically to the University at Buffalo," said Nickell. "We truly enjoyed our time getting to know Miko and his family during the recruiting process, and we couldn't be more excited to have them join the Bulls Men's Tennis Family."
"Miko was one of the best players in Canada as a junior, and he brings a wealth of experience as a champion to our squad. He has an aggressive game that will continue to develop to a world class level, and he will be a leader both on court and in the classroom."
