
Men’s Tennis Signs Chase Zhao

BUFFALO, NY - University at Buffalo men's tennis head coach Lee Nickell announced the signing of Chase Zhao to the roster for the 2026-27 season.
The Sydney, Australia native has achieved a career-high ITF junior ranking of 318. He won the 2025 National Secondary School Teams Championship and was a finalist at the 2025 Australian Cup, while also competing at the 2025 Australian Open Juniors. Additionally, he was a finalist at the 2023 Australian 16U championship. A graduate of McDonald College, Zhao served as team captain and was a three-time national high school championship finalist.
"We are truly excited to welcome Chase to the Bulls family," said Nickell. "Chase brings a wealth of international competition experience to our team. He is a tenacious fighter, and we expect him to be an integral part in our quest for a third straight MAC title."
