Bulls Battle Binghamton on Sunday

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's soccer team opens a two-game homestand on Sunday as they face off against Binghamton at 1pm. It is Youth Sports Day at Broadview Stadium, with fun activities for kids pregame, including a mini soccer ball giveaway, and a postgame meet and greet and autograph session with the team.
It is the 10th meeting between Buffalo and Binghamton with the Bulls holding a 7-1-1 series advantage. The Bulls have won the past two meetings, most recently a 4-1 win at Broadview Stadium in 2022.
Buffalo dropped a pair of contests at Grand Canyon and at Arizona State last week. Senior Lexie Thompson was a bright spot for the Bulls as she recorded a career-high 12 saves at GCU, including several highlight-reel plays, as she continues to prove that she is one of the best goalkeepers in the nation.
Binghamton is 3-0-1 after playing to a scoreless draw with Siena on Thursday. The Bearcats were picked second in the America East preseason coaches poll and return nine starters and six all-conference selections from a 2025 team that went 10-2-5 and produced a third regular season crown in the last four years, thanks to a 13-game unbeaten streak. Binghamton had a league best five players named to the 11-member preseason all-conference team, including forwards Jahkaya Davis and Paige Luke who currently lead the team with six points each and senior Rebecca Kessler who leads the Bearcats between the pipes with a 3-0 overall record, 0.00 goals against average and a 1.000 save percentage through three contests.
Up next, Buffalo will welcome crosstown rival Canisius to Broadview Stadium on Wednesday, September 3 at 7pm.
