BUFFALO, NY - University at Buffalo head women's basketball coach Becky Burke announced the Bulls' 2023-24 non-conference schedule on Thursday. Bulls fans will have plenty of chances to get to see the team as the schedule features eight games at Alumni Arena.
This year's slate also features a pair of new games with the addition of the MAC-SBU challenge in which the Bulls will travel to Old Dominion on Saturday, November 11 and will then host a Sun Belt opponent in February. The second MAC-SBC Challenge contest for each team will take place on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, with the matchups based on real-time NET rankings and announced in January.
"We are excited about our non-conference schedule for this coming season," said Burke. "Coach Brooks did a phenomenal job getting this schedule set. I believe this schedule allows us to challenge ourselves in different ways, while also building our confidence before MAC play. We have an extremely young team with a lot of new faces so I'm eager to see how this schedule suits us and allows us to grow together as a team."
For the third straight season, the Bulls will begin their season with an exhibition game against Daemen College on Saturday, October 28. Buffalo will then remain home as they welcome crosstown rival Canisius to Alumni Arena for the regular season opener on Monday, November 6 before traveling to Norfolk to take on Old Dominion on Saturday.
Buffalo will then open a four-game homestand on Tuesday, November 14 as they take on Big 4 foe Niagara. They will then play host to Stonehill on November 17 and St. Bonaventure on Wednesday, November 22 before closing out the homestand against Kutztown on Sunday, November 26.
The Bulls will open the month of December with a pair of road games, beginning on Saturday, December 2 at Stony Brook before traveling to Philadelphia for a contest at Drexel on Saturday, December 10.
UB will close out the non-conference portion of their schedule with a pair of home games as they welcome Le Moyne to Alumni Arena on Saturday, December 16. The Bulls will then have an extended break before hosting Maryland Eastern Shore on Saturday, December 30.
The Mid-American Conference portion of the Bulls schedule will be released at a later date.
