The Falcons struck first in the 11th minute as Maureen Kennedy took the free kick and drilled one off the hands of Kelly into the top of the net to give BG a 1-0 lead. The Bulls would even the game in the 43rd minute as Gurjeena Jandu took the free kick and played a perfect ball into the box where Gianna Yurchak got a head on it and flicked it into the top left corner of the net to even the score. Bowling Green would retake the lead in the 48th minute as Cox got a foot on a loose ball in the box and flicked it past a diving Kelly to put the Falcons up 2-1 and that would be enough to secure the victory.
