BOWLING GREEN, OH - A hat trick from Bowling Green forward Alyssa Zuccaro led the Falcons to a 4-0 win over the Bulls Friday evening in the opener of the Mid-American Conference season. The loss drops Buffalo to 1-8 for the season and 0-1 in conference.
Senior Julie Dale led the team with three shots, putting two on goal. Her three attempts matched her season total to this point and set career and single-game records for the Cary, NC native. Her classmate, Courtney McHale, saw action in her second straight game between the pipes, allowing one goal while also making a save.
The team will aim to even up its conference record with a short turnaround at Miami (OH) this Sunday. The match is slated to kick off at 1:00 pm. Live stats are available through the Redhawks' team page at www.muredhawks.com.
