
Buffalo Loses at Akron, 3-0

AKRON, OH - The Bulls' women's soccer team outshot Akron Sunday afternoon 11-7, but the Zips made the most of its chances, putting in three goals to down the Bulls. It was the team's first road game since October 3 against Western Michigan.
The Zips scored in the 25th minute off a corner kick, then added goals in the 55th and 79th minutes to seal the match. Sophomore Danielle Quigley made two saves in her third start of the season.
On offense, sophomore Shannon Fisher led the team with two shots on goal. Freshman Karen McMahon and junior Aubrey Stahl also put shots on goal for the Bulls' attack.
The loss drops the team to 1-15-2 overall and 0-8-2 in the Mid American Conference. The season will come to a close with the Bulls taking on Kent State on the road this coming Thursday. The game will kickoff at 3:00 pm.
