Thompson Named MAC Goalkeeper of the Week

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo women's soccer junior Lexie Thompson has been named the Mid-American Goalkeeper of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday afternoon.
It is the fourth weekly honor for Thompson and the eighth total for the Bulls this season.
The Levittown, NY native continues to be a steady force between the pipes as she helped lead the Bulls to their league-best ninth shutout of the season on Thursday and a 3-1 road win at Toledo on Sunday. Thompson leads the MAC and ranks 15th nationally in goals against average (.60) while ranking second in the league in shutouts (8) and third in save percentage (.833) across 17 contests. She currently ranks first in program history in career goals against average (0.67), fourth in wins (27) and fifth in shutouts (21).
Thompson and the Bulls host Western Michigan in the regular season finale on Wednesday at 3pm with a regular season championship and the #1 seed in next week's MAC Soccer Tournament on the line.
