Mandy Leigh Named MAC East Setter of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced their weekly volleyball honors on Monday afternoon. Mandy Leigh was named MAC East Setter of the Week.

Mandy Leigh had an outstanding weekend for the Bulls at Kent State. She helped the Bulls to a 2-0 start in MAC play with a straight set victory on Friday and five-set win on Saturday. She had double-doubles in both matches, as she is up to nine on the season. Leigh finished with 75 of the Bulls' 93 assists. She averaged 9.38 assists per set while adding five kills, two service aces, 24 digs, three blocks, and 8.5 points.

This marks Leigh's third weekly honor of the season and ninth in her career. She has earned the second most weekly honors in program history behind Kelly Svoboda (2010-14) who the record at holds 10. The Bulls have taken home at least one weekly award over the last four weeks.

The Bulls are back in action on Friday, Sept. 29 as the team will host Ohio (6-8, 1-1 MAC) for a weekend series.
