The Bulls Fall to the Chippewas on Saturday

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Buffalo Bulls volleyball team (6-10, 3-4 MAC) lost in straight sets to the Central Michigan Chippewas (5-14, 2-5 MAC) on Saturday afternoon, 24-26, 22-25, 17-25.
It was a tough go for the Bulls offensively on the day as they only hit .078 to Central Michigan's .274. Manoela Forlin led the team with nine kills as Emerson Matthews had seven kills with seven digs. Sydney Bell added five kills for the Bulls.
Keira Kleidon had a team-high nine digs. Ava Kanj and Forlin each tallied two total blocks.
SET 1
It was hard to compete with the Chippewas' offense as they hit .433 with 17 kills. The Bulls led 15-14 at the media timeout, but Central Michigan closed the set with nine kills with no errors.
SET 2
The Bulls struggled to find an offensive rhythm as they hit .056. Central Michigan tallied six blocks holding the Bulls to none. Trailing, 18-13, the Bulls made a late charge to make it respectable at 25-22.
SET 3
The Chippewas led wire-to-wire to close out the match. The Bulls had 11 errors in the third set with just eight kills. Central Michigan completed the sweep with a 25-17 set decision.
UP NEXT
The Bulls are back at home next Friday and Saturday as they'll host the two-time defending MAC Champion Western Michigan Broncos.
