The Eagles bounced back following a timeout as they took a 21-19 lead. A quick 3-0 run by Buffalo put them in front, 22-21. Buffalo then got to match point, which Eastern Michigan fought off to tie the set at 24. The Bulls slammed the door as Siepierski tallied a kill with fellow freshman Abisola Adebayo denied the Eagles' final attack.
"Getting back to a hard fought 3-3 in the MAC is a great feeling," stated Head Coach Scott Smith. "We had a number of players step up and have great performances from the bench. While we are not attacking with the efficiency we would like to be we are still broadening our offense and when we cut down on the errors we will be a much stronger and more balanced team. We are staying focused on growth and fighting hard for every point we can."
The Bulls are back in action at Akron on Tuesday at 6 p.m. Coverage will be on ESPN+.
