
Volleyball Ties Program Record with Seven Academic All-MAC Honorees

CELEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference announced its 2025 Women's Volleyball Academic All-MAC team on Monday morning. This year's squad included seven Bulls, tying last year's program record. Earning honors this year were Eve Adams, Luli Arcucci, Chloe Brown, Emma Converse, Manoela Forlin, Ava Kanj and Keira Kleidon.
Under Head Coach Scott Smith's guidance, he's helped UB earn 43 Academic All-MAC honors since 2015.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for their particular sport.
Eve Adams, Sophomore, Outside Hitter, Early Childhood Education, 3.857
Sophomore Eva Adams appeared in all 27 matches for the Bulls this season. She had a team-high 28 aces including a career-high three aces at Akron (10/7) and at Northern Illinois (11/1). At Toledo (11/7), she tallied a career-high seven digs. This is her first Academic All-MAC honor in her career.
Luli Arcucci, Sophomore, Opposite, Business Administration, 3.489
Luli Arcucci played in 15 matches in her sophomore campaign. Totaling 56.0 points, she averaged 1.51
points per set off the bench. Arucci recorded a season-high 11.0 points at Robert Morris (9/20) as she
had nine kills and four block assists. This is her first Academic All-MAC honor in her career.
Chloe Brown, Junior, Defensive Specialist, Exercise Science, 3.751
Junior defensive specialist Chloe Brown appeared in 20 matches. She totaled 101 digs in 58 sets played, good for 1.74 digs per set. Brown set a career-high 16 digs against Robert Morris (9/20). This is her second Academic All-MAC honor in her career.
Emma Converse, Sophomore, Outside Hitter, Business Administration, 3.667
Sophomore outside hitter Emma Converse played in 15 matches this season where she tallied 36.0 points and 29 kills. Converse set career-high marks with 12 kills and 14.0 points against Niagara (9/13). This is her first Academic All-MAC honor in her career.
Manoela Forlin, Sophomore, Opposite/Right Side, Graphic Design, 3.590
Junior Manoela Forlin started all 27 matches while being second on the team in total kills with 345. Her 3.42 kills per set and 3.84 points per set were good for fourth and third in the MAC as she went on to earn Second-Team All-MAC honors. This is her second Academic All-MAC honor in her career.
Ava Kanj, Sophomore, Middle Blocker, Biochemistry, 3.908
Ava Kanj had a solid sophomore season for the Bulls. She was second on the team in total blocks with 52.0, but led the team with 0.76 blocks per set. She chipped in 50 kills in 21 matches played. This is her first Academic All-MAC honor in her career.
Keira Kleidon, Sophomore, Defensive Specialist/Libero, Exploratory, 3.862
Sophomore defensive specialist/libero Keira Kleidon played in all 27 matches this season. She led the team with 337 digs, an average of 3.51 per set. She set a career-high 27 digs against Marist (8/30). This is her first Academic All-MAC honor in her career.
