
Mandy Leigh Named MAC East Setter of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced their weekly volleyball honors on Monday afternoon. Mandy Leigh was named this week's MAC East Setter of the Week.
Sophomore Mandy Leigh had another outstanding weekend for the Bulls at the WNY Invitational. Over the course of three matches, the Bulls went 3-0, claiming the WNY Invitational Title after defeating Canisius, Youngstown State, and the undefeated Bucknell Bison. Leigh averaged 11.60 assists per set helping the Bulls to a hit percentage of .261. Against co-host Canisius, Leigh had 35 assists on 76 attempts in just three sets of play for a percentage of .461. Against Youngstown State, she had 46 assists and added 35 against the 6-0 Bucknell Bison on Friday afternoon. She finished the weekend with 116 assists, a .420 set percentage, seven kills, seven total blocks, and a hit percentage of .278. With her performance, she earned All-Tournament Team honors.
This marks Leigh's second weekly honor of the season.

The Bulls are back in action on Friday, Sept. 16 as the team travels for the Florida Gulf Coast Invite in Fort Myers, Fla. The team will face St. Francis Brooklyn, Florida Gulf Coast, and Florida Atlantic over the course of the two-day tournament.
