
Bulls Host Kent State on Thursday

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's soccer team (4-1-1) will continue MAC play against Kent State on Thursday afternoon. Due to forecasted inclement weather, the game will be played at Sahlen's Sports Park at 2:30pm.
Fans will not be permitted to attend the game.
It will be the 25th all-time meeting between Buffalo and Kent State with the Golden Flashes holding the 13-10-1 series edge. Kent State has won four of the last five matches against UB, most recently a 1-0 victory in the season opener on March 4th.
Buffalo is coming off a dominant 4-0 win over Miami (OH) at UB Stadium on Sunday. The Bulls were led by senior Marcy Barberic who recorded two goals in the win. Junior Katherine Camper had a big day, scoring a goal and recording two assists, while Kaitlyn Walsh also added her first goal of the season.
Barberic leads the Bulls in points (13), goals (6) and shots (27) while fellow senior captain Gianna Yurchak has 10 points on three goals and a team-best four assists. Wengender has also recorded a pair of goals on nine shots and Camper and Walsh have one goal each.
Kent State enters Thursday's match with a 2-4 overall record after falling 1-0 at Akron last weekend. The Golden Flashes are led offensively by Yasmine Hall who has scored three goals on 12 shots. Vital Kats leads Kent State with three assists and 16 total shots. Sarah Melen has led the Golden Flashes between the pipes, making 28 saves while recording a 2.17 goals against average and a .683 save percentage.
Sunday's game at Bowling Green has been postponed due to roster issues with Bowling Green related to positive COVID-19 tests and subsequent contact tracing. Attempts will be made to reschedule the contest on a to-be-determined date.
The Bulls will return to UB Stadium for the home finale against Akron on Thursday, April 8 at 7pm.
