OXFORD, OH – The University at Buffalo women's soccer team (3-5-2, 0-2-0 MAC) dropped their second straight Mid-American Conference match on Sunday afternoon by the score of 1-0. Despite outshooting the RedHawks 12-9, the Bulls were shutout for the second straight match to open MAC play as Olivia Winnett netted the game-winner in the 13th minute of play.

How It Happened
- The RedHawks got on the board first in the 13th minute of action as Kat Zalar saw her shot ring off the post but Olivia Winnett was there to follow up and bury the goal, giving Miami (OH) the early 1-0 lead.
- The Bulls responded quickly with a couple of chances of their own as Nicole Gerritz and Celina Carrero were both robbed by Miami keeper Vic Maniaci.
- In the 19th minute, Carissima Cutrona had a great chance to tie the match but her right-footed shot was saved by the Miami keeper.
- Both sides went back and forth and the RedHawks had the final shot of the first half in the 35th minute as Courtney Evans saw her header go just wide of the goal.
- Gurjeena Jandu opened up the second half for the Bulls with a great chance but her shot was saved by Vic Maniaci.
- In the 58th minute the Bulls had a couple of chances after a Julia Benati corner kick but Adrianna VanCuyck had her shot blocked and Nicole Gerritz's blast was saved.
- After a yellow card to Miami (OH) in the 74th minute, Moira Petrie had a great chance to tie the game but her shot was saved by Maniaci once again.
- Buffalo had their final chance at the tying goal in the 81st minute as Moira Petrie sent a great corner kick into the box where Jessica Marlowe took a shot that was saved by the RedHawks keeper, preserving the cleansheet.
