BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo, The State University of New York women's soccer team got a goal from freshman Rebecca Bramble with eight seconds remaining in regulation to send the game to overtime and eventually end in a tie. The goal for Bramble was the first of her career as UB improved to 22-12-2 all-time against the Purple Eagles.

- The Short Story: Freshman Rebecca Bramble scored her first career goal with eight seconds left in regulation to knot the game, 1-1. The two sides went on to draw as the Purple Eagles held the 6-2 edge in shots through the two overtime periods.

How It Happened
- After a slow start for both sides, the Bulls had the best scoring chance of the early going as in the 15th minute Carissima Cutrona found herself all alone in on the goalkeeper but her hard shot was gobbled up to keep the game scoreless.
- A minute later, Celina Carrero had a golden opportunity to give UB the lead but her shot on the breakaway was saved by the goalkeeper's foot and cleared away.
- In the 42nd minute, the Purple Eagles had their best chance of the half as Amelia Gulley headed a cross past the UB keeper but it caromed off the post and out of harms way, keeping the game knotted, 0-0.
- As the second half started, Kassidy Kidd had a great chance to give UB the lead but her blast from 15 yards out went soaring just over the cross bar.
- After a near miss by Niagara, Kidd had another great chance as Julia Benati led her straight to the goal but her blast was saved by the keeper.
- After Niagara was denied a goal by another goal post, the Bulls countered and had two great chances. Rebecca Bramble made a great run and found herself on a breakaway but her original shot was saved and her rebound attempt went off the keepers hand and into the post, before being cleared away.
- The Purple Eagles were able to notch the first goal of the game in the 83rd minute as Amelia Gulley put a great ball into the box off the free kick where Kelsey Lafferty took a hard shot into the upper right hand corner for her first of the season.
- UB fought hard down the stretch and earned a corner kick with under 20 seconds remaining. On the ensuing corner, Brianna Shingary sent a great ball into the box where Rebecca Bramble collected the ball and scored in the right corner of the net with just eight seconds remaining.
- In the first overtime, Celina Carrero had the best chance as she took a Julia Benati feed and took a hard shot that was turned away.
- In the second overtime, Niagara had the majority of the pressure as Sophie Connor had her attempt go off the goal post, NU's third post of the contest, and the rebound attempt from Laura Ortiz was blocked by a diving Jackie Hall to prevent the game-winner.
- Neither side was able to break through with the game-winner as time ran out in the second overtime.
Inside The Numbers
- The goal in the 90th minute for Rebecca Bramble was the first goal of her career in just her fifth career match. Bramble also notched a career-high three shots, all on goal, in the draw.
- For the second straight game, a UB player scored their first career goal. Dana Lytle scored the game-winner against Syracuse and Rebecca Bramble scored the game-tying goal against Niagara.
- With the tie, UB improved to 22-12-2 all-time against Big 4 rival Niagara. The Bulls have outscored the Purple Eagles 88-38 in those matchups.
- Niagara outshot the Bulls 20-18 for the match including a 6-2 edge in the overtimes.
