BOWLING GREEN, OH – The University at Buffalo, The State University of New York women's soccer team (6-5-1, 2-2-0 MAC) allowed the game-winning goal in the 89th minute as they were defeated on Sunday afternoon by the Bowling Green Falcons, 2-1. Carissima Cutrona scored the lone goal for UB in the 80th minute.

- The Short Story: Bowling Green used a 89th minute goal to defeat the Bulls on Sunday afternoon. The loss dropped the Bulls to 2-2 in MAC play this year while the Falcons improved to 2-2 in conference games.

How It Happened
- The Bulls were able to get the first shot on goal for the game in the eighth minute as Julia Benati ripped a shot that was saved by Lauren Cadel.
- In the 16th minute, the Falcons forced Laura Dougall to make a save and she did as she turned away the Paige Amodio shot.
- In the 28th minute, UB had a flurry of three shots off of a corner kick from Kassidy Kidd with all three shots being blocked by the Falcons defense.
- Kassidy Kidd had the Bulls final chance of the first half in the 40th minute but her hard shot was saved by Lauren Cadel.
- After a pair of Carissima Cutrona shots to open the second half, Bowling Green scored the first goal of the game in the 50th minute. Kara Ross beat Laura Dougall after a pass from Skylar Fleak.
- After falling behind 1-0, the UB offense began to click and take shots against the home team at will.
- The Bulls offense finally broke through with a goal in the 80th minute as Carissima Cutrona beat the BG keeper to the left corner from inside the box. Cutrona took a great feed from Celina Carrero and buried the ball in the back of the net to tie the game.
- Unfortunately for the Bulls, the game didn't stay tied for long as the Falcons were able to notch the game-winner in the 89th minute of play. Erica Hubert took the Kara Ross feed and bounced a shot over the head of Laura Dougall to clinch the win for the Falcons.
Inside The Numbers
- Carissima Cutrona notched her second goal of the season, setting a career-high for the Williamsville native.
- UB held the dominant 23-11 edge in shots including a 17-3 lead in the second half. The 176 shots in the second half were a season-high for any half for UB.
- Carissima Cutrona led all players with five shots including three on goal while Kassidy Kidd finished with four shots off the bench for UB.
