
Kassidy Kidd Nets Two Goals To Lift Women's Soccer Over Toledo, 3-1

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo, The State University of New York women's soccer team (8-5-2, 4-2-1 MAC) won their second straight Mid-American Conference match on Friday night at UB Stadium, downing the visiting Toledo Rockets, 3-1. Kassidy Kidd once again led the UB offensive charge with two goals. The senior now has five goals in three matches for the Bulls.

- The Short Story: Senior Kassidy Kidd stayed hot for the Bulls on Friday night as she netted two more goals to life UB over Toledo, 3-1. Kidd scored a pair and Celina Carrero notched her second of the season to help UB stay unbeaten in three straight matches.

How It Happened
- After a slow start, UB finally recorded a shot on goal as Carissima Cutrona took a blast that was saved by the diving keeper, pushing the ball out of play before it could squeeze in the right corner.
- On the ensuing corner kick, Julia Benati sent a great ball into the box where Celina Carrero headed home her second goal of the season into the right corner of the net.
- In the 24th minute, Andrea Niper saw her hard shot turned away by the Toledo keeper and then Angel Hart had her attempt saved by the diving keeper to the right corner in the 34th minute.
- Laura Dougall made her best save of the first half as she calmly grabbed a long shot off the foot of Isa Echeverri.
- The Bulls came out strong in the second half as they were able to make it 2-0 in the 54th minute. Jackie Hall saw her header attempt go off the cross bar but Kassidy Kidd was right there to head home her first of the night for the Bulls.
- Less than a minute later, Toledo was awarded a penalty kick on a hand ball in the box and Isa Echeverri converted on her chance, beating Laura Dougall to the right corner.
- In the 62nd minute, Kassidy Kidd nearly netted her second of the game as Jackie Hall placed a great free kick into the box but Kidd's attempt just scurried wide of the net.
- Dana Lytle almost scored her second of the season in the 77th minute as she took a Kassidy Kidd feed and just missed the left corner of the goal.
- A minute later, Kassidy Kidd put the game away for the Bulls as she notched her second of the game in the 79th minute. Brianna Shingary placed a great free kick into the box where Celina Carrero calmly controlled it and passed to a cutting Kidd who beat the goalkeeper to the right corner for her fifth goal in her last three matches.
- The Bulls last chance to score four goals came in the 84th minute as Celina Carrero rang a shot off the cross bar and out of play.

- The Bulls have now won two straight MAC matches and are unbeaten in their last three.
- UB has scored seven goals in their last two matches, the most goals scored in a two game span since 2001 when the Bulls netted nine goals in two matches.

- Kassidy Kidd notched her second career two-goal game, netting the first of her career last time out against Northern Illinois.
