2019: One of six Bulls to start all 20 games during her junior campaign… Scored a goal and added an assist in a win over Houston Baptist (9/6)… Recorded two assists, including on the game-winning goal, in an overtime win over Akron in the MAC Tournament quarterfinals (11/3)... Earned Academic All-MAC honors for the third time in her career.
2018: Appeared in 11 matches and earned 10 starts for the Bulls on the backline during her junior campaign… Finished with four points and two goals, while taking 11 shots on the season… Scored the game-winning goal against Canisius (9/6)… Recorded her second goal of the season in a 2-0 win over Central Michigan (9/28)… Helped the Buffalo defense earn eight clean sheets holding opponents to 1.47 goals/against… Earned Academic All-MAC honors for the second time in her career.
2017: Became an every day starter for the Bulls on the backline as a sophomore as she started all 17 matches in which she played in... played nearly every minute of all 17 matches while becoming a dominant force on the backline for UB... helped lead the Buffalo defense to six clean sheets on the year while limiting opponents to 1.32 goals/against... led the stingy UB defense that allowed just 6.4 shots on goal/game... earned Academic All-MAC honors for the first time in her career after posting a perfect 4.0 GPA.
2016: Turned into an impact freshman for the Buffalo defense in her first season on campus as she was one of only seven UB players to start all 20 games for the Bulls… finished the season with two assists from her defensive position while notching 12 shots… ranked third on the team in minutes played as she appeared in 1,742 minutes as a freshman… she recorded her first career assist against Navy (9/4) as she assisted on a Carissima Cutrona goal… picked up an assist on the game-winning goal in the MAC Quarterfinals victory over Akron (10/27)… recorded a career-high two shots on two occasions, at Binghamton (8/28) and at Northern Illinois (10/16)… was a member of a defensive group that allowed 0.85 goals-against/game while notching six cleansheets.
High School: VanCuyck comes to Buffalo from nearby Walworth, NY where she wrapped up a great high school career at Wayne Central for head coach Bill Jordan... VanCuyck was a two-year team captain for the Eagles and she led her team to an 18-2 record last season while notching team-highs in goals (36) and assists (14)... Her 36 goals last season were a school record for a single season as she earned third team All-State honors... After her huge senior campaign, VanCuyck was also named All-Greater Rochester Player of the Year while adding her second career Finger Lakes Player of the Year accolades... She has also accumulated a successful club career for the Empire Revolution as she led them to two State Championships in her eight seasons with the club... The mobile midfielder also ran track in high school, earning three League Most Valuable Player awards, breaking eight school records, winning six individual Sectional titles and earning three trips to the State track and field meet.
