BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team will continue their season-opening homestand this weekend as the Bulls will host Cleveland State on Friday and St. Bonaventure on Saturday.
The Bulls are coming off a 7-0 victory over St. Francis (PA) this past Saturday in their first action of the season. UB's opener saw the debut of Bjoern Petersen, Finn Macnamara, and Tom Owen who all picked up victories in singles and doubles. Returnees Matthew Johnson, Valdemar Holm, and Simon Wibler also claimed both doubles and singles victories last week.
Buffalo will face Cleveland State on Friday at 3pm. The Vikings are 1-3 on the season following a season-opening loss to Notre Dame before back-to-back defeats to Ball State. CSU picked up its first win of the year at Butler last week, 4-3.
UB will then welcome St. Bonaventure on Saturday at 1:30 pm. The Bonnies are 1-1 on the season after a 5-2 loss to Duquesne to open the year and then St. Bonaventure evened their record up on Sunday with a 6-1 win over St. Francis (PA).
Both matches will take place at Miller Tennis Center, which is closed to spectators currently. Please follow @UBMensTennis on twitter for all the latest updates.
