
Carissima Cutrona Buries Game-Winner In Double Overtime To Down Ohio, 2-1

BUFFALO, NY – Redshirt sophomore Carissima Cutrona netted her team-leading eighth goal of the season in the 105th minute to give the University at Buffalo women's soccer team (6-5-2, 3-2-0 MAC) their third straight conference win on Thursday night at UB Stadium. Cutrona's fourth game-winner of the season gives the Bulls a perfect 6-0-1 record at home this season and an impressive 23-1-4 mark at home over the last three seasons.

How It Happened
- The Bulls struck first in the 16th minute of play as Celina Carrero was able to net her first of the season into the right corner. Dana Lytle fed a streaking Carissima Cutrona who crossed a perfect ball into Carrero who finished off the goal to give UB the 1-0 lead.
- The Bobcats had their first chance of the match in the 24th minutes as Bryce Hueber earned a free kick that was blocked by the Bulls wall and out of harms way.
- Buffalo had a good scoring chance in the 31st minute as Ashley Evans crossed a great ball into the box where Andrea Niper's header went just wide of the left corner of the net.
- Freshman Kara Daly made a great run down the right sideline in the 32nd minute and crossed a ball into the top of the box for Rebecca Bramble but her hard right-footed shot went just over the cross bar.
- In the 37th minute, Hannah Jaggers had a chance to level the score, 1-1, but her shot went wide right.
- The Bobcats had their first shot on goal of the match in the 41st minute as Bryce Hueber ripped a shot from 20 yards out that was scooped up by Laura Dougall.
- The Bobcats evened the score in the 49th minute of play as Allie Curry gathered the loose ball in the box and hit the right corner of the net with the bicycle kick.
- Laura Dougall made a huge diving stop to her right in the 59th minute as Bryce Hueber ripped a low shot towards the left corner of the goal.
- In the 68th minute, Carissima Cutrona saw her dangerous shot blocked out of bounds by the Ohio defender.
- Nicole Gerritz had a hard shot from just outside the box in the 77th minute but the Ohio keeper made a diving stop to her left to keep the game knotted, 1-1.
- Laura Dougall made the save of the game in the 87th minute as the Bobcats had a point blank chance from Alexis Milesky. Milesky took a feed and was all alone in front but her hard shot was turned away by Dougall from five yards out.
- The Bobcats had the only two shots in the first overtime as Remi Eades forced DLaura Dougall to make a stop on a knee in the 97th minute before Bryce Hueber ripped a shot just wide of the corner in the 99th minute.
- Buffalo was able to end the match in the 105th minute off of a set piece. Ashley Evans sent a great corner into the box where freshman Gurjeena Jandu flicked a perfect ball to Carissima Cutrona who headed the ball just over the line past the keeper to give UB the win, her career-high eighth goal of the season.

- With the win, the Bulls have now won three straight MAC matches since opening the conference slate with a pair of losses.
- The win also moves the Bulls home record to 6-0-1 on the year. Buffalo has been dominant at home over the past three seasons as they own a 23-1-4 record at UB Stadium.
- For the match, the Bobcats held the 15-11 edge in shots while UB held the dominant 8-3 edge in corner kicks.
- The game-winning goal for Carissima Cutrona was her career-high fourth of the season. The redshirt sophomore has now netted a team-best eight goals on the season.

The UB coaching staff selected senior Dana Lytle as the Player of the Match following the Bulls 2-1 double overtime win over Ohio on Thursday. Lytle collected her first assist of the season on the Bulls first goal while also playing tough in the midfield for UB.
