BUFFALO, NY - Get to know UB women's soccer redshirt-freshman Carissima Cutrona.
Why did you choose UB?
CC: "I chose UB mainly because I am from Buffalo and I wanted to play for my hometown team! It's nice being able to have all my family and friends at all of the home games at UB Stadium."
What is your favorite part of being an UB student-athlete?
CC: "My favorite part about being a UB student-athlete is getting the opportunity to play the sport I love every day with a great group of girls. Although it's a very different lifestyle than most people our age in college, I wouldn't trade it for anything."
What do you like to do in your free time?
CC: "I like to hang out with my sisters and friends or just relax and watch movies since there's not usually a lot of time to do that!"
What is your major and why did you choose it?
CC: "My major is health and human services. I chose this major because I would like to be a part of the helping professions and have an impact on people's lives."
Who is your biggest role model and why?
CC: "My mom is my biggest role model because since I was little she has shown me what hard work can do. She has been a great example for my sisters and I as we grew up and I hope to live like she does."
Where would you go on your dream vacation?
CC: "On my dream vacation I would go somewhere tropical with a beach, and lots of sand and sun!"
Who is your favorite professor?
CC: "So far all of my professors have been good so it's hard to pick a favorite."
What is your dream job?
CC: "My dream job would be to play soccer professionally somewhere after college. Getting paid to play a sport would be pretty cool."
If you could be any animal, what would you be?
CC: "I'm not an animal person!"
What is your go to meal on the day of competition?
CC: "My go to meal on the day of a game is a turkey or chicken sandwich with some fruit."
