
Katie Roberts Up For College Boot Award; National Women's Soccer Player Of The Year

BUFFALO, NY - Following a career year, senior forward Katie Roberts has earned recognition by Soccer News Net as she has made the list of 30 finalists for the College Boot, women's soccer Player of the Year award. Roberts helped guide the Bulls to their first MAC Tournament title along with a NCAA Tournament berth.
Roberts closed out the most successful season of her career with 12 goals as she was named Mid-American Conference Player of the Year. The Homerville, Ohio native recorded 27 points along with a team-best six game-winning goals while being one of the most dangerous players in the country game in and game out. Roberts also scored UB's long goal, a penalty kick goal, in their program's first-ever NCAA Tournament match versus Penn State last week.
Fans from across the country will be able to vote for the top collegiate player as voting will begin on Saturday, November 15 and continue until December 16. Vote for Roberts here. Fans are encouraged to vote as many times as they would like.
Online fan voting will account for 40% of the total toward the award. The remaining 60% of the vote will be cast by the Soccer News Net editorial staff. The winner of the popular vote will receive the Soccer News Net Supporter's Choice Award. Soccer News Net has been selecting a player of the year since 2007.
