2012-13: Raced in two cross countrymeets as a sophomore. Recorded her best 5K time of 21:58.9 at theUB Stampede Invitational. Earned her best 6K time of 26:25.0 at thePrinceton Invite which was good for a 52nd place finish. Finishedthe outdoor 1,500 run in a season-best time of 5:06.67 at the PennState Jim Thorpe Open (5/3).
2011-12: Posted top indoor marks of 2:23.23 inthe 800m and 3:10.65 in the 1,000m. Set top outdoor times of2:29.17 in the 800m and 5:09.50 in the 1,500m. Did not competeduring the cross country season.
High School: Captained one season at WebsterThomas High School for coach Jenn Forsey. Earned all-league honorsfor indoor track. Set school records in the indoor 1,000m andindoor and outdoor 4x400m and 4x800m relays.
Personal: Born September 12, 1993. Daughter ofDonald and Lauri Halpin. Favorite food is strawberry frosteddoughnuts. Enjoys watching the Food Network. Lists “pullingapart frozen chicken in the catering department at SeabreezeAmusement Park” as her strangest job. Majoring in civilengineering.
