2015-2016: Took 1st in 400m and 3rd in 4X400 Relay at Cornell, clocking in at 50.77 and 3:25.1 respectively… School record in 800m with a time of 1:48.92… Placed 2nd at Zips Invitational in 800m, clocking in at 1:50.09… Silver in DMR at MAC Championships with a time of 9:47.77, school record… bronze in 800m with a time of 1:49.82 at MAC Championships.
2014-15: Set school records in the indoor 800-meter run and the 1000-meter run with times of 1:49.25 and 2:23.73, respectively. Ran season-best times of 1:04.82 in the 500 meter run, 10:04.47 in the indoor DMR, 49.17 in the outdoor 400-meter dash, 1:49.02 in the 800-meter run, 3:54.39 in the 1,500-meter run, 3:15.01 in the outdoor 4x400 relay team, 17:14.13 in the 4xMile relay, and 9:56.54 in the outdoor DMR.
2013-14: Had a standout sophomore season setting six school records...did so in the indoor 800-meter run and distance medley relay and outdoor 800, 1,500, 4x800 and DMR...set indoor record times of 1:50.09 in the 800 and 9:52.37 in the DMR earning First-Team All-MAC at the indoor championships...clocked outdoor records of 1:49.70 in the 800, 3:49.16 in the 1,500, 7:30.82 in the 4x800 and 9:53.31 in the DMR...added indoor season-bests of 49.64 in the 400, 2:24.86 in the 1,000 and 4:26.60 in the mile.
2012-13: Recorded the team-best time of 1:52.25 in the outdoor 800 meter run at the Princeton Larry Ellis Invitational. Recorded a career-best time of 3:58.27 in the outdoor 1,500 meter run at the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic. Posted the best indoor 800 meter time of 1:53.28 at the SPIRE Midwest Open.
High School: Won five letters and captained two seasons at Barker High School for coaches James Jurewicz and Paul DerSarkissian. The Division II champion and sixth overall in the 800m at the 2012 New York State Indoors Championships. Finished 12th in in the Class D race at the 2011 New York State Cross Country meet, earning second-team all-state honors. Competed in the USATF Junior Olympics in 2009 and 2011. Also lettered in basketball for the Raiders .
Personal: Born April 27, 1994. Son of John and Sherri Ober. Has one brother (Daniel). Native of Germany. Favorite athletes include middle distance runners Nick Symonds and Khadevis Robinson. Favorite foods include seafood, potatoes and spaghetti. Majoring in chemistry and lists “finding renewable alternatives to fossil fuels which is efficient and inexpensive.”
