2015: Wheeler helped lead the charge for the Bulls in her junior season, competing in six of the eight races… She ran a season-best 6K at Pre-Nationals, where she clocked in at 21:59.30, placing 59th out of 237 runners… Wheeler helped pace the Bulls in the Colgate Harry Lang Invite with a time of 17:50.00, placing her 12th out of 111.
2014: Wheeler competed in six races for the Bulls as a sophomore, including the MAC Championships and the NCAA Northeast Regionals...led the Bulls at the Iona Meet of Champions on Sept. 20 with a 23:24.65 finish to place 30th out of 163 runners in the 6,000-meter run...ran second for the Bulls at four of the other five races in which she competed...had a season-best 5K time of 18:49.40 at the UB Stampede on Sept. 6...top 6K time of 21:48 came on Oct. 4 at Lehigh''s Paul Short Invitational.
2013: Wheeler competed in five of the Bulls’ six meets as a freshman. She clocked a season-best six-kilometer time of 23:16 at the Lehigh Paul Short Invitational and placed seventh with a 19:17 5K at the UB Stampede. Wheeler raced to a 96th-place finish at the MAC Championship with a 6K time of 24:28.
High School: Set the school record in the 1,500-meter run (4:43) and 800 run (2:19) as a senior...was named Elmira Free Academy''s Athlete of the Year...Earned the Section IV Sportsmanship Award as a senior.
Personal: Born June 21, 1995...daughter of Tomas and Lisa Wheeler...has three siblings, Ryan, Abbey and Alexis...exercise science major at UB.
