2015: Did not compete... Chrisy Dickerson Unsung Hero Award.
2014: Pfeil raced just once for the Bulls as a junior... He was the first to cross the finish line for UB on Aug. 30 at the Duquesne Duals with an 8,000-meter time of 27:01.20... He placed 17th out of 98 runners on the course.
2013: Pfeil did not compete for the Bulls as a sophomore.
2012: Pfeil did not compete for the Bulls as a freshman.
High School: Lettered four seasons and captained two years for coach John Reith at Royalton-Hartland High School. Finished 10th in the Class C Division at the 2011 New York State Cross Country Championship, earning all-state honors. Western New York Runner of the Year and a First-Team All-Western New York selection.
Personal: Born February 4, 1994. Son of Franklyn and Shelly Pfeil. Has one brother (Eddy) and two sisters (Caitlin, Gwenlyn). Favorite athlete is Steve Prefontaine and his favorite movie is the Prefontaine biopic Without Limits. Comes from a running family, brother was a teammate at Roy-Hart, finishing 17th in the 2011 state meet while father and uncle ran in college with his uncle earning All-American cross country honors. Majoring in exercise science.
